Hello! I’m Liz Chichester (pronounced Ch-eye-chester). I’m a Philadelphia native who has been slowly moving South and I’m thrilled to have landed in Charleston. After earning my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Bryn Mawr College I spent two years building my clinical and research skills while managing the Boundaries of Anxiety and Depression Lab at the University of Pennsylvania. I then moved to Charlottesville, Virginia and completed doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at The University of Virginia (Wahoo Wa!). Following a clinical internship at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, I moved to Charleston to complete a postdoctoral fellowship in couples and family therapy at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. Once I got to Charleston it was clear that this was my forever home and I decided to set up my own practice. I truly love what I do; I began specializing in couples therapy as soon as I could and have never looked back. I feel so lucky to be able to help people reconnect and thrive for a living.
Personally, I’m a water and sun enthusiast. My favorite place to be is under the water, and my most fun fact is that I’m a professionally certified Divemaster (scuba dive guide). I absolutely love living in Charleston and am happy to call it home.
